The special once a year 16-week DRUMSISTA PERFORMANCE CLASS begins on March 10th
culminating in the big public fundraiser Concert June 20th.! If you

Saturday Mornings- Discover the Magic of Hand Drumming Beginner/
Beyond Beginner , Join us for this class and learn the
art and magic of drumming as a language for the spirit! Drumming for fun, creative self-expression,
stress reduction, empowerment, new communication tools, ,and countless health
benefits too numerous to mention here! We learn rhythm rudiments, hand
drum technique, basic vocabulary to help us speak through our drums ,West
African rhythms, exercises to develop technique , how to select a drum, drum
circle etiquette and much, much more! $100 for a session (6 wks)Meets
10-11am starting March 14th.Saturday
Morning KRIN CLASS

for BEYONDBEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE
will study the art and magic of the African Log Drum. Learn
the fundamentals of playing solos and expressing your self musically through
the drum as well as learning some beautiful and fun TRADITIONAL WEST AFRICAN
SOLOS. Feel free to call Sherry at 512-791-9516
if you have any question about this class being a good match for your skill
level! -Meets 11:15am12:15pm. Starts March 14th.. 6 weeks
for $100.
For Beyond
Beginner/Intermediate Level We will work with more advanced bass drum patterns and work with
traditional and ballet style triple djun patterns. We will also explore more
djun “solo” patterns and echauffement variations. If you have not previously
attended this class, please check with Sherry to register.
Wednesday Evening Djembe class ,The Magic of Hand Drumming”
8pm-9pm, starts March 11th. This is THE class is for those of you just embarking on the
drummer's path, as well as those of you who have taken a number of sessions.
This is an All Level class! We learn rhythm rudiments, hand drum technique,
basic vocabulary to help us speak through our drums , West African rhythms
& songs, exercises to develop technique , how to select a drum, drum circle
Etiquuette, solo basics, history of the djembe, and much more!

SPECIAL BEGINNER’S INTRODUCTION
TO HAND DRUMMING

This is a perfect introductory workshop for those folks
considering hand drumming instruction for the first time! This is a great
preliminary experience for anyone considering the six week sessions as well. In
this workshop we will cover the fundamentals of hand drumming including basic
hand technique, exercises to help develop technique, some rhythm basics, two
West African rhythms and songs, an opportunity to experience an improvisational
musical experience, how to select a good drum, drum
circle etiquette and much more! DRUMS PROVIDED! No previous musical
experience is necessary! All are welcome. If you have a heartbeat, you have
rhythm. To share rhythm with each other and express ourselves rhythmically is
an important and basic human need! Come unleash your spirit through rhythm and
enjoy an evening making music in a warm, supportive circle with new friends and
